Old golf course maby to fields?

Ok so there is a big old golf course down near copper hill school, on 202 its old and gone now. But it has a big driving range perfect for speedball fields and woodsball. I was think if there would be any way to try and get people to maby help pay for some of it maby to get it started. So any ideas just say it. Thanks

I tried Googling the course but couldnt find it. anyone know its name? and are you talking about the one that still had part of its net up?

yeah from us its not far at all. i live by the elementary school Desmares. and andy lives 15 minutes away from me lol. but its closer than most fields. shooters 365 opened up a field 5 minutes away from me which is awesome. but really expensive

That has to be the stupidest thing i ever heard. Land in NJ = Too expensive. All our life savings put together could probabaly buy half an acre tops, and that would be worthless. I feel dumber just because this topic exists.

my daddy could buy it for us no questions asked. JUST KIDDING! it cant be too much and we dont need much. one speedball field would be fine. then we get scuba tanks and a filling station. fill up the scuba tanks for a small price (cheaper to fill up scuba with nitro or c02 than each tank itself) and we got our own little private field. and who knows they might not even have any necessary use for the place and we can get a paintball shop to get a field there and give us discounts. and nick, i think my mom works for your mom. IDK if its you nick phillips or another one. Theres 2 that live near here, so ive heard

This will never work.

1. Legally we cant even own land, but that is not a hard problem because we could always have someone buy it for us, but then comes the issue of who actually owns it, because i doubt one person will pay for the whole thing. Legal problems and lawyer fees = bad.

2. I just did some research on land prices in NJ and i got some varied results. Overall, i found a good plot of land, with electricity and stuff, goes for around 200,000 per acre. Some prime spots, cost up to 300,000 per acre. This land is off a highway, so lets say it goes for a discount, even 100,000 an acre. A regulation speedball field is 150 by 180 feet. thats 27000 square feet, which in NJ costs about 62000 dollars. Plus the extra land we would need to buy legally, ( i think is like 15 feet from a building, but idk) and other fees, it could cost 75000 plus. Have fun getting that kind of money. For paintball. really.

3. You could always rent the land, but honestly, just get some inflatable bunkers and set them up in a field. I've got like 20 acres of township land behind my house, that no ones ever going to own or develop it. Much easier,

alright then lets buy bunkers and set up a field in someones backyard =P and like i said before. some kid said that it is 6 bucks to fill up a scuba tank with nitrogen (same 6 dollars to fill up each tank) so we could actually pull off a filling station. i couldnt go to someones backyard with one tank. my gun eats up air like crazy. i put 6 pods in through my gun with a full tank. already empty.

Now this is a solid arguement, not some flimsy piece of shit. The reality is Phillips (Nick) is right. The cost of owning or renting a field is inasnely high in NJ. I mean maybe if we lived in the dakotas it would be more realistic, but we do not. Plus think how far it is from most of us. Notice the ^Readington Paintball^ up top. THis old golf course is in Ringoes if my memory is correct. Ringoes is how far from Readington? Pretty damn far. Yes, Javs this would make a little sense from your stand point since you live very close to it, but most of us do not. Also, another point Nick made, "Why not just buy inflatable bunkers?" is a very good point. thousands of thousands of dollars for an acre of land, or 2,000 for a set of bunkers? We gotta use what we have, which is the preserved farmland behind Nick's and DP's houses.
Now Javs your later response is more like it! Cheap, easy, and "portable" so if we want we could change fields etc. The idea of buying a field is a little outlandish, it is like the RPL last year, everyone bailed out since it involved cash. Most people are tight fisted with their "precious" money and 100 grand + is a inasne amount. Hell if you all wanna pitch in to buy bunkers i am in for it, we could accumalte them over a period of time, buy them at different times so we do not all lose cash instantly.

ahh neumann what could we do without you. i would pay for a fraction of the bunkers. if i have the money when we are ready to buy them. ive never been to nick or dp's house so i wouldnt know about their backyards. but sounds good enough. and timmo: my parents dont like it when i spend money on stuff i "already have" such as a paintball gun. my dad bought my old spyder from me which i could use if he isnt playing with us

i still say we just find a junkyard, and a pick up truck...the only investment would be the gas money to and from the junkyard.
